Blue Land Project

Tirana - 08-11 / 07/2019 - In the framework of the implementation of the Blue Land project, a seminar was organized on 10 and 11 July 2019 for the presentation of indicators and monitoring frameworks for the implementation of this project in each designated areas in Italy, Albania and Montenegro. This seminar is a continuation of work for the classification and mapping of ecosystem services, as well as defining key environmental and socio-economic indicators in all three designated areas. The purpose of the seminar was to enable and support the community of the Porto-Palermo on drafting the Porto-Palermo management plan through the use of the ecosystem services and the preservation and protection of the natural resources and values ​​that this area can offer.

A Project Steering Committee meeting was held prior to the seminar to discuss the current developments and future tasks.

The Blue Land project is funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro and jointly implemented by CIHEAMBari, the National Agency for Protected Areas – Napa (Albania); INCA Albania Ministarstvo poljoprivrede i ruralnog razvoja University of Montenegro Ministry of agriculture and rural development – MARD (Montenegro); the University of Montenegro – Institute for Marine Biology – IMBK, the Cooperative Research Institute – ICR, AICS Tirana, Regione Puglia Puglia Puglia Region, Department of Agriculture, Rural and Environmental.
