Community Action in Protected Areas

Jannuary 2020 - This Jannuary, the ACAP project continues the development of environmental classes in target schools, with the aim of raising the awareness of students about nature and their involvement in environmental issues.

- In the frame of the ACAP project, INCA in cooperation with the Hasan Mehilli Dukat School, located near Llogara National Park, and with the support of the Vlora Regional Administration of Protected Areas conducted an educational lesson on "Flora and fauna of our country and their damage”.
Taking care of nature begins with the school environment, contributing at least to the vitality and health of the biodiversity that lies there.
For this reason, the activity today was associated with whitewashing of plants trunk as a way to protect them from frost, especially for an area that is highly vulnerable to cold winds such as Dukat village

- In the frame of “Call for Schools to Action” under the ACAP project, the Hasan Mehilli School in Dukat, Vlore, has been the winner of a mini project that started this year by launching information activities on setting up a nursery on the school premises, which would serve as an oasis of organisms and as an outdoor lab for classes.
This project is titled "Children for Llogara Forest", as each plant planted in plots will be an exemplary part of the plant wealth of this park
