BLUE LAND Project

The BLUE LAND project is intended to define and develop an innovative model of marine and coastal resources co-management based on the direct involvement of local communitiesin both identifying the development objectivesand achieving the priorities identified.

The BLUE LAND is a limited sea and coastal area, where the local community is committed to managingnatural resources directly, with a view to ensuring future sustainability.

The model, implemented in three pilot areas: Porto Palermo, (Albania), Ada Bojana (Montenegro) and Tricase (Italia), is aimed to protect and preserve marine and coastal resources, through an ecosystem approachmeant to ensure continuity in the delivery of ecosystem services, while preserving habitatsand biodiversity
